H1N1 RNs & LPNs


The Visiting Nurse Association has multiple, temporary H1N1 RN & LPN flu shot openings.. Our H1N1 nurses will assist with mass immunizations in the Denver Metro Area.

Responsibilities include:

•Providing immunization vaccines to adults and children in a large clinic setting, at a rate of approximately 25 shots per hour.
•Handling medical emergencies calmly and quickly.
•Communicating regularly with supervisor and support staff involved in flu shot program.
•Providing care in a safe manner, utilizing standard precautions for infection control and following applicable Agency policies.
•Completing accurate and timely documentation of care to Agency.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of an approved educational program for Registered Nurse or Practical Nursing. Active Colorado RN or LPN license and current CPR certification required.
Must be able to work on Saturdays: 11/7, 11/21, 12/12 & 12/19
Must be able to respond promptly to email and telephone messages.
Ability to read syringe markings to ready dosages, lift up to 20 pounds and safely administer vaccinations required
