Summary:

Upset about losing his job and fearful President Obama was poised to ban guns, Richard Poplawski, armed to the teeth and wearing a bulletproof vest, took the lives of three Pittsburgh police officers.

Poplawski fired at them as he was “lying in wait” after his mother, who was in the basement during the ordeal, called the police.

The shooting comes on the heels of the shooting in Oakland, where four officers lost their lives.

Poplawski is in custody after receiving gunshot wounds to both legs.
