“How is freedom measured, in individuals as in nations? By the resistance which has to be overcome, by the effort it costs to stay aloft. One would have to seek the highest type of free man where the greatest resistance is constantly being overcome: five steps from tyranny, near the threshold of the danger of servitude.”

    "Drug Manufacturer manipulating media '

AMSTERDAM - Drug Manufacturers brought their wagon to the media as much as possible to sell pills. Journalists too little prick back and work through their campaigns so (unintentionally) to practice them. This enables the editors of the TROS Radar in the television broadcast of Monday.

Pharmacists may not advertise prescription-only drugs available. They therefore frequently launch campaigns aimed at the medical condition itself, such as erectile problems, nail fungus and heartburn. The campaign is often a hidden message for the doctor to go over that then can prescribe medication to combat the symptoms.
The editor himself has invented a campaign about flatulence to show how easily the press media to take over. The campaign was a study that was actually conducted by research firm TNS NIPO. It concluded that one in four Dutch suffered from flatulence. Many media, including ANP, took over the conclusions.
