26 charges for 3 men in Toronto gun incident

Three men are facing a total of 26 charges in a Toronto gun incident that ended with a semi-automatic weapon being tossed from a car.

Police say two groups of men were arguing in a downtown highrise when shots were fired at about 2:50 a.m. Thursday.

Police say one of the rounds entered a seventh-floor unit through a tenant's living room window and the men fled in a car.

The car drove onto the Gardiner Expressway and crashed on the South Kingsway off-ramp after a short police pursuit.

Police say during the crash one of the men in the car threw a .40-calibre semi-automatic weapon out of the passenger window.

Gary Dacres, 39, of Mississauga, Ont., Addie Downey, 33, of Toronto and Cory Fraser, 34, of Toronto face various weapons, driving and other charges.
