Daniel Greenside hasn't been seen since Dec. 16.
The car was towed to Regina for forensic analysis, police said
Police in Ontario are looking for a missing man who may have recently been in Saskatchewan.
Daniel Murray Greenside, 50, was last seen on Dec. 16 at his cottage at Grand Bend, northwest of London.
He hasn't been seen by family or friends since, police said.
His car, a 1999 Buick Century, was found on a snow-covered stretch of road Tuesday afternoon by two United States residents, 11 kilometres west of Torquay, Sask., police said.
Officers searched the area by snowmobile but there was no sign of Greenside. The vehicle was towed to Regina where it was examined by RCMP forensic experts.
Investigators learned that a man matching Greenside's description was seen in the area, police said.
Ontario Provincial Police said Greenside may have been heading to Western Canada or Western United States in search of employment. Torquay is about 30 kilometres north of the border with North Dakota.
Greenside is described as a Caucasian male, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 240 pounds, and having short, salt-and-pepper hair.
