    why do (some) people consider MK-Ultra (CIA mind control project started 1930s) a "conspiracy theory"?

    any time i've mentioned it (it seems pretty important), people have pulled out the old "conspiracy nut" card. when did things that came out in congress and subsequently DECLASSIFIED turn into "theories"?isn't this something we, as americans should be a little bit concerned...

    has the term "conspiricy theory" lost it's meaning? why do people use the term so loosely?

    i've got some news for some people: an obscure historical fact IS NOT a conspiricy theory... for example- if i were to say something like, "In the 1950s, the CIA launched a mind-control research program called MK-Ultra that included testing the effects of LSD and it's possible uses in the field...
