Health Dept. destroys 1600 lbs of deer meat donated to homeless shelter

An organization known as "Hunters For The Hungry" generously donated Sixteen hundred lbs of perfectly good venison to the Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission, just to have the Department. of Health demand it to be tossed in a dumpster, with chlorine bleach poured onto it. This is unbelievable. They must be afraid it will make people too healthy!!

Hunters across Louisiana are outraged after state health officials ordered a rescue mission to destroy $8,000 worth of deer meat because venison is not allowed to be served in homeless shelters.
