NEW Seal Flu Could Pose Threat to Humans

A new influenza strain found in New England harbor seals could potentially threaten people as well as wildlife, new research suggests.
Scientists cautioned that viruses like the newly discovered seal flu must be monitored in order to predict new strains and prevent a pandemic flu emerging from animals.

Let me guess, because of the new seal flu they are going to try to force everybody to run out and get the new vaccinations to protect against the seal influenza strain.

Sealed flu, give me a break! At least the bird flu it's possible the birds could've flown near humans. The seals I do not believe are near humans too often, unless they are in zoos, the ones in the wild I would imagine would avoid us.
