A man was killed Saturday in Oakville, Ont., after an altercation near the intersection of Kerr and John streets just after 11 p.m., police say.
When police arrived they found the victim "in the middle of the intersection having sustained serious injuries," according to a new release from the Halton Regional Police Service.
The man was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.
Homicide detectives are investigating the cause of death but have not given any details.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them.
