alifax police hope someone can help them find Gene Hape, whose fiancée, Nadine Taylor, was slain last summer.

Halifax Regional Police issued a release Thursday asking for the public's help.

Police say Hape, 40, was last seen at his Fairview home on Feb. 7. He has disappeared for long periods before, but his friends and family are worried.

Hape reported Taylor missing on July 31. In October, Steven Laffin was charged with second-degree murder of the sex worker.
Description:

* Five-foot-nine
* 175 pounds
* Brown hair
* Blue eyes

Police say anyone with information about Hape should call police at 490-5016.

He may have been in a green 2000 Mazda Protégé with the licence plate EPJ507.
