Feeling trapped:Currently no way out

Been awhile since I posted, but here goes another post.

How many of you have rented? Well unfortunately where we rent we have never met the landlord, we deal directly with this stupid property management company. Whose recent major accomplishment has to raise the rent on my widowed 80 year old friend.

We called and asked them for weatherstripping (her electric bill was going through the roof, with the heat wave, and have them spray for roaches) The borax and the tablets, we used to get rid of them haven't accomplished too much of anything)and a next door neighbor we had had managed to accumulate roaches during her six month stay and have her 3 kids taken away by the state.

Well, they finally came out put in weatherstripping (now we can't lock the deadbolt) and the weatherstripping is coming away from the other side of the door frame.

So, they have not returned our calls and we've been calling since last week. The neighbor who had the kids taken away (I'll never know who called and complained, but her kids were outside playing at 1 to 3am yes, no typo, youngest still in diapers) was eventually evicted and so the apartment is vacant. I found it advertised on a real estate internet for $695.00 and under a differnt real estate agent, My poor friend has to pay $725.00 now.

So now I'm wondering what's going on with these people, we've been sending the rent check to. We've been trying to contact the real estate broker who is in charge of the property management company for a week now.

I'm sensing perhaps a change over, the last time that happened we had to leave an apartment we loved because the owner was foreclosed on, and we only had three weeks to do it. Which is why we're stuck here.

Now unfortunately this is a state who wants first month, last month and deposit. My friends just starting to get better after 3 weeks in a hospital after a fall, and other things, and now she has doctors and meds to take, no money to move, plus just trapped into another lease. I am aware of Section 8 but currently the state does not have the program open, for applications. Any ideas?

Hello from sunny England.
You basically just described the usary debt based slave society that is becoming ever increasingly entrenched.
The kids been "TAKEN" is because the system considers them their slaves , who have promised to pay back the debt raised against their fictional person on the birth certificate.
The ever increasing debt , and consequent fear and feelings of desperation are all to make sure the slaves who don't have a clue they are slaves are forced to work.
The doctors bills are all part of this, We are fully self repairing beings, if We only remembered that We are.
We are been driven into a system of dependancy, where the state owns everyone and everything.
It does not have to be so, We are co-creators of this system.
Is this the world WE created????
Is this the world YOU want?
Unless You recognise this system, then You can be steamrolled into something You are blind to.
All the best.

I know that this is not what I created nor did I want. I know the elites and their constant greed for money have foisted this upon many of us, and theey've figured away around the rules that were created to prevent this, to make it legal. They're partnered for the most part the pharmaceuticals, who in turn make our leaders richer then they need to be.

The drs, profit too. The dr. she has, won't do anything unless they are paid up front, and they make $250.00 for an office visit which leaves the co-pay to pay. Way too much money. Of course the educational system doesn't help either with their constant raise of tuition, if you wish to make something of yourself. The low man on the totem pole (us for instance) get the shaft. My friend used to be a professional at a time when companies if they saw potential took the time to train you, now these corporations don't wish to take any time and invest in the person and create a form of loyalty to the company who helped them get a break.

We at the very minimum are caught in a rut or should I say maze, where we are forced to run around in circles all day long.

Thanks for the reminder. :)

How do we recognize the way out? I know we are in a humungus maze and are "chasing our tails so to speak".

I found on the internet they are asking less money for this place (next door to us) then we are paying. We've already signed the lease unfortunately. The weatherstripping installed was blocking the deadbolt lock from locking properly. The lady two doors down said someone tried to get in her apartment, she thought she knew who it was but couldn't prove it. We've got about three layabouts around here who do nothing but attract other layabouts. My friend has already worked a total of 48 years for her money, me I earn my keep by doing the shopping, errands, cooking going with her to to doctors, I carry her extra oxygen tank, she has COPD (no money for me, but I know her circumstances and do it, out of friendship,).

Maintenance showed up finally after a week at 7:50 pm. removed the weatherstripping where we could lock the door, told us we had to request to the other neighbors, who usually just gawk at us, not to block the plank for her temporary wheelchair, and even though we still see the roaches, they had already sprayed, that was that. All that terrific service for an astronomical (well it is to her, though not to many people $725.00 a month. (We've been here 4 years and that's how they appreciate their long time tenants.)

When I said that You need to recognise the system, I meant exactly that, not the local circumstances that You are obviously caught up in.

We are basically caught up in a spiders web of deciet, and can't recognise it.
Try to learn as much as possible about Your enemy, otherwise how do You hope to take it on???

Ahh, I get it sorry I do have a tendency to rant sometimes, just pent up frustration at current situation I suspect. Thanks for the link. I'll visit the site. What you said reminded me of another old Chinese (I think,)proverb, "Keep your friends close, your enemies closer." Probably a loose quote but I get the general idea. Thanks. :)
