CASPER

THE FRIENDLY GHOST
The treatment of wheezing involves the diagnosis of the underlying cause. Without first determining the cause of wheezing, treatment cannot be decided. However, if the wheezing is bothering you, as it will at some point, you can try some home remedies.

When your wheezing is in its acute phase, cover your chest and your shoulders with a hot towel. Do this every now and then so that your muscles get relaxed and the nerves are soothed. You can also take some hot water in a glass and sip it slowly. This will provide relief to your throat. If your chest feels congested, steam inhalation can help melt the accumulated phlegm. This will also help relieve spasms.

Make a paste of turmeric and use it as a poultice, smearing it all over the chest. Alternatively, you can add some turmeric to a glass of hot milk and drink it every night before sleeping. You can also warm some water with a clove of garlic in it and then sip it slowly. This warms your body from the inside so that breathing is eased. Another great remedy for wheezing is mustard oil. A spoonful of the oil mixed with jaggery can help sooth both cough and wheezing.
