For the second month in a row, the Friday the 13th, the day which the people feel more accident involves an ordinary day.
Unlucky
February this year was also a Friday the 13th. It happens only once every seven to eight years that the black day in two successive months occurs.
Friday as unlucky would originate in the fact that Jesus was crucified on that day. The number 13 in Europe and America as an accident number.
Fewer breakdowns
But science has never proven that the accident day more than other days. Indeed, a Dutch study of a few years ago even pointed out that most Dutch people have less luck on Friday the 13th.
Organizations like the NS, the ANWB and large hospitals as the AMC report on Friday the 13th no more problems or accidents than on other days. However, married there in less people than other Fridays. In America the phenomenon is alive more: that many people even take a day off or make a precautionary business transactions.
