King Abudullah of Saudi Arabia has invited Iranian President Dr. Ahmadinejad to attend the emegency meeting of the 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Makkah to be held on August 15-16. The invitation was confirmed by Iran’s presidential spokesperson but said that Ahmadinejad had not made his mind to accept it. He said that if Ahmadinejad decided to attend, the bloodshed in Bahrain and Syria will be on his agenda to be discussed with the Saudi Wahabi regime.

Last month, Ahmadinejad sent invitation letters to King Abdullah, Bahrain’s ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Al-Hadi and Qatari ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. All these four rulers are USraeli puppets but Tehran as the host of the NAM summit, is obliged to invite all member states to attend the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit through diplomatic channels. Iran will hold the next rotating presidency of NAM from next month.

Personally, I believe Ahmadinejad should not accept the ‘symbolic’ invitation to attend the meeting personally but send a low-level diplomatic delegation on his behalf. Saudi ‘royals’ have proved year after year that they’re running US-Israel proxy wars in the Muslim world by keeping Shia-Sunni sectarian divide and counter Iran as new regional emerging power to counter US-Israel imperialism in the Middle East.

Saudi sent its forces to kill Shia-majority in Yemen and Bahrain.

Last year, Riyadh sent armed mercenaries in Libya to fight against Qaddafi – and now the same Wahabi thugs are murdering innocent Muslims in Sunni-majority Syria in order to bring a pro-USrael regime in Baghdad.

Last month, Saudi regime executed a number of Iranian nationals for supporting the mass protests being held in the Kingdom by its Shia minority.

Dr. Ahmadinejad has visited Saudi Arabia twice before. In 2005 he went to attend OIC meeting – and in 2009 to perform Hajj on the invitation of King Abdullah.

OIC Secretary-General Dr. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu (Turkey) said the situation in Syria and the plight of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar would be the main topics on the agenda.

OIC has 57 Muslim-majority nation-states as voting members while India, Bosnia, Thailand and Central African Republic as non-voting observers. OIC was established on September 25, 1969 in Rabat, Morocco.
