A fake doctor who falsely claimed to have helped victims of the July 7 bombings fabricated her qualifications, the inquest into the atrocity has heard.

Richmal Oates-Whitehead, 35, was working as an editorial clinical director for a medical publication based in Tavistock Square next to where the No 30 bus was blown up.

The New Zealander landed the job at BMJ Knowledge by claiming she had a medical degree and had been a doctor for 15 years.

But after press interviews following the terrorist atrocity it emerged she had lied about her qualifications.

Investigators later established that she played no part in treating the survivors of one of the four suicide blasts that on that fateful 2005 day in which 52 innocent people were killed.

She was found dead from natural causes in her flat five weeks after the bombings and nine days after her employers began an official investigation into her background.
