There are various reasons behind stress and first we have to sort out reason behind it. A stress management course may help but its effects are short term. I would rather prefer a head massage from my wife to get rid of stress and anxiety.
I personally like isolation. When I get rid of everyone and everything around me (not always possible especially when you have kids) I always feel so much better and relaxed. Pets work nice too, for whatever reason, just having a dog or a cat on my lap to pet and talk to really does the trick sometimes too.
