Obesity epidemic linked to MSG in foods

Here is a article I found, I thought it would make for a good discussion.

This has been translated from french:

Original article:

I heard that MSG cause obesity before, but a lot of people in China, Japan and Korea eat MSG all the time and they're not obese. I think MSG is just a neurotoxin that does damage to the brain and make you crave more food.

I think the craving of more food alone because of MSG is what's making everybody fat from it. If you eat MSG, you eat more, which equals more weight.

This stuff is no good for you it doesn't matter whether it makes you obese or not! Is considered a neurotoxin, just like fluoride, just like aspartame!

I was thinking about MSG and about my grandmother before she died and ignoring the fact that MSG is a neurotoxin. My grandmother did not have an appetite a few months before she died and she quit eating. This is where something like MSG could be administered to help people who lost their appetite and need to eat to maintain their body strength. This could increase their appetite and help them gain the strength back. So there could be a good side MSG.

Again ignoring the fact that it damages your brain, perhaps could be refined to remove this effect.

So using it to increase the appetite of an ill person as opposed to using it to increase the appetites of healthy people and the wallets of restaurant owners.
