The Darfur conflict: 2.7 million displaced

Reuters AlertNet - GRAPHIC: The Darfur conflict.

The expulsion of more than 10 international aid agencies after an International Criminal Court decision to indict Sudan’s president for alleged war crimes has raised fears for hundreds of thousands of people uprooted by conflict.

This graphic shows the main camps for refugees and internally displaced people in Sudan’s western Darfur region, where U.N. officials say 2.7 million people have been uprooted and 300,000 killed since 2003.
