Belgrade is lost tomb in Luxor

A Belgian research mission in the southern Egyptian Luxor a tomb discovered in late 19th century, it was reported again in the desert sand was gone. It is the royal tomb of a high official in the time of Pharaoh Tutmosis III (1479-1425 BC), Amenhotep seal custodian. The Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities has announced.

The mission of the Belgian archaeologist Laurent Bavay encountered after three years of work on Amenhotep grave near Aheikh Abd al-Qarna in Luxor on the west bank of the Nile. In 1880 the Swede Karl Piehl discovered the tomb, but by moving desert sand was the tomb quickly search. (ANP / bf)
