After the Mexican Government publicly disclosed UFOs why didn't America follow suit?

You watch too much "Star Trek'...... E=MC2..... nothing travels faster than the speed of light....the closest possibly inhabited planet is 100+ light years away.....Why would aliens travel 100 years to get someplace and then not talk to anyone.... My toilet is stopped up..... before I assume the clog is the result of aliens I think I will look for another more logical down to earth explanation.....

I will tell you why but you might not believe me. It is because the aliens told the US government not to say anything. It is OK for Mexico to be public because that is a mostly Catholic country and the Pope has already announced that belief in extraterrestrial intelligence does not conflict with the Bible or Christianity. In fact, extraterrestrial just means not from earth. If God and the angels are not from earth than by definition they are extraterrestrial.
