Racism against Palestinian in Israeli school books

It’s over two years when I wrote about Israel professor Nurit Peled-Elhanan (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) regarding her speech at the European Parliament in 2005. She told the audience that the so-called free world is affraid of the Muslim womb.

Nurit Peled-Elhanan is daughter of Israeli Maj. Gen. Mittityahu Paled (died 1995) who was a member of Jewish terrorist militia Palmach along with Yitzhak Robin who as country’s prime minister was assassinated by a fellow Jew on November 4, 1995.

In a recent interview with Alternate Focus Nurit Peled-Elhanan discusses the anti-Palestinian racism and distorted history of Palestine in the textbooks used in the school system. The books are laced with a pro-Israel ideology, and that they play a part in priming Israeli children for military service. She analyzes the presentation of images, maps, layouts and use of language in History, Geography and Civic Studies textbooks, and reveals how the books might be seen to marginalize Palestinians, legitimize Israeli military action and reinforce Jewish-Israeli territorial identity.
