Iran’s President Dr. Ahmadinejad is scheduled to visit four Latin American countries this month to boost trade and technical co-operation with them. The news has sent a wave of shiver in the Zionist Lobby circles which are projecting the visit as Iran’s desperate move to build influence in the ‘US backyard’ in order to offset the four-plus sanction imposed by the western Zionist Occupied Governments (ZOGs).

On January 1, 2012 – Israeli propaganda mouth-piece, The Washington Post, made the headline; “Iran seeking to expand influence in Latin America“. In the post, Joby Warrick, came up with his twisted Zionist logic behind Ahmadinejad’s visit.

“With its latest outreach, Iran appears to be seeking to woo back Latin American countries that have grown wary of doing business with Tehran. Iran’s closest ally in the region, Venezuela, had its largest petroleum company hit with U.S. sanctions last year over its ties with Iran. Smaller countries such as Nicaragua and Bolivia have seen little of the millions of dollars in aid promised by Iranian officials over the past decade,” he claimed.

However, in reality, Islamic Republic has boosted its export by 500% under western sanctions. Iran has imported goods from 37 European countries and exported its products to 35 of them in the last 8 years.

Ahmadinejad is schedule to begin his four Latin American nations tour in the second week of this month, starting with his meeting with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in Caracas, who had invited him last year. After that, Ahmadinejad is planning to visit Nicaragua, to attend the inaugration ceremony of President Daniel Ortega - followed by visits to Cuba and Ecuador. He will have bilateral talks with Cuban President Raul Castro and Ecuador President Rafael Correa.

Since Ahmadinejad became President, Iran has expanded and intensified bilateral relations and cooperation with several Latin American countries especially those linked to the Bolivarian Alternative (ALBA) which has cast great concern to the US and its European Zionist poodle governments. ALBA is an international cooperation organization based on the idea of social, political and economic integration between the countries of Latin America and Crribbean. Currently, ALBA has eight members; Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Dominica, St. Vincent and Antigua and Barbuda.

Ahmadinejad may visit Peruvian President Ollanta Humala before returning home.

Ahmadinejad’s visit comes at the moment of US-Israel escalting threats to the Islamic Republic for its refusal to discontinue its civilian nuclear program. Last month, Iran captured a US drone and held military drill in Strait of Hormuz – to show its military capabilites to give a deadly response to any US-Israel attack in the future.
