Genetically modified crops may respond to climate change, but the lobby against the patenting of the technologies used in them is stronger. Especially if the new types of innovations derived from traditional farmers.
Climate resistant properties by the biotech industry are patented by the ages developed by the breeding work of farmers, "says internationally renowned activist Vandana Shiva in New Delhi.
