In the Egyptian city of Saqqara have killed thirty archaeologists found mummies in a 4600 year old tomb. The grave is located at the bottom of an elf meter deep source, said Zahi Hawass, the head of the Egyptian archaeological service.

Eight mummies were in sarcophagi to lie, the other stood in niches in a wall. Hawas described the site as a repository for mummies. An employee of Hawas, Abdel Hakim Karar, said that such events are rare for the period in which the mummies date.

Saqqara
