Why? Because Ahmadinejad delayed the reinstation of his intelligence minister Heydar Moslehi. Mosley had resigned from cabinet after he was questioned about the recent failure of Iran’s intelligence services in foiling the CIA, Mossad and MI6 plots against the Islamic Republic. His resignation was accepted by Ahmadinejad who immediately appointed Moslehi as ‘President’s Adviser’ on intelligence affairs. Though, Ayatullah Khamenei lauded Mosley’s past services he did not ask Ahmadinejad to reject Mosley’s resignation. Executive director of IRNA wrote in his personal website that the reports regarding the Leader’s overruling of Heydar Moslehi’s resignation was a “fabrication.” He accused the media of “lying and power-mongering” and claimed that they were trying to insinuate that the President is not aligned with the Leader.
