Max Blumenthal on Racism and Violence in Israel

The Jewish columnist and author, Max Blumenthal, in his new book, ‘Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel’, recounts his personal experience while reporting from the Zionist entity for four years.

”I was most surprised at the banality of the racism and violence that I witnessed and how it’s so widely tolerated because it’s so common. And I’m most surprised that it hasn’t made its way to the American public,” says Blumenthal. I bet, as a Jew and journalist, Max knows why Americans are so ignorant of Muslim and Christian Native Palestinians, who face racism and violence on daily basis, because all the corporate media in the US, Canada and EU is controlled by Zionist Jews.

Anyone who has read Max Blumenthal’s writings or his new book, may think Blumenthal is anti-Israel or despise Zionism – is completely naive. In reality Max believes that only Jews can criticize Israeli Jews. And anyone who criticizes the Zionist regime or Israeli state, Jew or non-Jew, is “a Jew hater” and “racist”. For example, in August, 2013, he called Israeli-born Jewish writer, author and musician, Gilad Atzmon, a British citizen; “anti Semites”, “neo Fascists” and “racists”.

“Being an expert on the matter and an avid reader of Jewish history, I know pretty well why Blumenthal is tormented by my work. Jewish hegemony within radical movements always backfired. My work indeed exposes an intrinsic dishonest element within the Jewish Left in general and Jewish anti Zionism in particular. I guess that the vastly growing popularity of the descriptive abbreviation AZZ (Anti Zionist Zionists), only suggests that Blumenthal & Co have a good reason to panic. In The Wandering Who I give this very panic a name – Pre Traumatic Stress Disorder (Pre – TSD),” says Atzmon in response.

The joke is, both Max Blumenthal and Gilad Atzmon are Ashkenazi Jews, and according to Israeli historian, professor Eran Elhaik’s (Johns Hopkins University) study published by the Genome Biology And Evolution, Ashkenazi Jews are NOT Semite people.

Last year, Max Blumenthal quit writing for Lebanese nationalist newspaper Al-Akhbar over management’s refusal to ban pro-Assad or pro-Hizbullah columns. He criticized one of pro-resistance contributors, Dr. Amal Saad-Ghorayeb. He called her “dictator enabler” for supporting Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. In her response, Saad-Ghorayeb, called Blumenthal, “Zionst-imperialist enabler”.

”And don’t you dare belittle my commitment to Palestine by claiming I put Syria first. Any idiot who read my piece in its entirety would have understood I was defending this regime’s struggle against the enemies of humanity because Palestine is my Qiblah, a cause I am ready to die for. And indeed I was attacked by many Zionists because of my “outdated” views on resistance, because they go against the tide of Arab Spring chic. It is for me to measure YOUR commitment to Palestine and as far as I can see, you are only committed to your own personal interests. And how dare you mock Hizbullah and ridicule its motives for supporting Assad. The last time I checked it was their mujahideen getting martyred while you sat in your cushy offices in the West. And no, your anti-Zionist articles count for little when you take this Zionist/imperialist enabling stand that does nothing but harm Palestine. Now go rant, play and do whatever else gives you the illusion of having “contributed” to Palestine, and leave us grown ups to defend the cause,” says Saad-Ghorayeb.

On October 13, 2013, David Swanson, posted an interesting review of Max Blumenthal’s new book as follows:

“Max Blumenthal’s new book, Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, is 400 pages of fascistic horrors, a dystopian vision of where the United States or most any other country could go and where Israel has gone. Of course, Israel uses World War II to justify its outrages, just as the United States uses World War II to justify its military presence in 177 other nations. The United States arms Israel and protects it from legal consequences for crimes. U.S. companies and individuals and universities and churches fund and take part in Israel’s brutality. U.S. Congress members listen to Israeli war propaganda as attentively as do Knesset members. So, there are perhaps extra reasons for those of us in the U.S. to pay particular attention to Israel’s fascistic tendencies,” says Davidson. Read complete review here.
