In the 1980s – The leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, had called Egyptians to rise up: “I am hopefull that other countries will pay attention; will follow the Iranian nation. Egypt, don’t be satisfied with your oppressive government which states that it will destroy anyone who uses the name of Islam. Know that Islam is in danger in Egypt. It is obligatory for Egyptian men and women to rise and destroy this government which has announced that it is at war with Islam”.
Egypt under Hosni Mubarak and Iran under King Reza Shah Pehlavi have many things in common. On the negative side – Both regimes are anti-Islam, dictorial in nature, supported and protected by the US and Israel. On the positive side – both Iran and Egypt have long historic connections. For example, The Fatimid Shia Dynasty ruled Egypt from 969-1171 CE. They built the Cairo city and the famous Al-Azhar University.
In the early stages of the Islamic Revolution, Dr. Ali Shari’ati translated several Islamic articles written by Muslim Brotherhood leader Sayyid Qutb from Arabic to Persian, which were used as enlightening Islamic resistance spirit among the young Iranian revolutionaries. This earned Dr. Ali Shariati the nickname “Shia Qutb”. In 1987, when interviewed by Egypt’s youngest journalist, Safynaz Kazem, Dr. Zahra Rahnavard (wife of ‘Green revolution’s’ defeated candidate, Mir-Mousavi) asked her: “Do you have the likes of Sayyed Qutb still around?”
On February 4, 2011 – during his Friday sermon at Tehran University, the Spiritual Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, declared that after years of endeavor and hardship, Iranian nation, today, is witnessing that its call is heard strongly in other parts of the world of Islam.
The West is projecting two of its ‘false Moses’ to the Egyptian who are calling for the dismantling of Mubarak-USreal imperialism. Israel and its poodles in Washington, London, Paris and Bonn are hoping for the arrival of their Dajjal, the so-called “New Middle East” project – A strategy to break open the states of the region from Morocco to Afghanistan, as conceived by ‘Israel-First’ Samuel Huntington in his infamous essay, the ‘Clash of Civilizations’.
One of the West’s ‘false Mose’ is Mubarak’s dreaded secret service chief Gen. Omar Suleiman, a close ally of CIA and Mossad and anti-Hamas. The other is former director-general of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei, a secularist who lived most of his life in the West and is out of touch with the Egyptian masses.
There is another name emerging out of the people’s protests. It’s a26-year-old leader of Egypt’s April 6 Youth Movement, Asmaaa Mahfouz.
Ben-Obama’s special envoy to Hosni Mubarak, Frank Wisner, spilled the beans by telling the European diplomats meeting in Munich that Hosni Mubarak should remain glued to his chair and steer through reforms (to pre-empt a genuine democratic regime coming into power).
The true Moses, whom the Egyptian youth are waiting and who could liberate the nation from western bondage and help them to eastablish a true democratic system to live with dignity and justice – would be another Sayyed Qutb (1906-1966) to appear.
