Not only can plants talk they communicate.

Wonderful post.!

Many years ago Stanford Research had a project along these same lines but then of course the shadier parts of military intelligence got involved. Obviously for them.... if " plants spy on each other" then they have to be wonderful aids in " spying on others for our national security". Not sure how far their program went because by the early seventies it had disappeared from view.

You might note that the individuals who wrote " The Secret Life of Plants" also had strong military intelligence connections.
(Christopher Byrd was the primary author I believe)....I am away from my notes so I hope that I have spelled his name correctly.

I am looking forward to what this " The Secret World of Plants" has to say and hope that more people take it seriously and take a hard look.

I myself witnessed a " monitored plant" respond violently to a human which had previously " shredded" a companion plant.....It was not a coincidental spike in the charts. It was as if the plant was screaming " killer! killer! killer!"

Heres the point. If we do not notice that we have all of this communication going on around us in our day to day level.... then surely we will not notice another intelligences suble influence in our life either. Its good that we are at least starting to see what we have going on around us all of the time.

The Russians have an expression, I have been recently reminded........... " The Secrets of the Universe are known by a Begonia"

Thats a very old phrase. Time to look at it seriously. Linda

The Grateful Dead..... and Jimmy Buffet too..... knew more than they were singing.............

"As I was walkin' 'round Grosvenor Square
Not a chill to the winter but a nip to the air,
From the other direction, she was calling my eye,
It could be an illusion, but I might as well try, might as well try.

She had rings on her fingers and bells on her shoes.
And I knew without askin' she was into the blues.
She wore scarlet begonias tucked into her curls,
I knew right away she was not like other girls, other girls.

In the thick of the evening when the dealing got rough,
She was too pat to open and too cool to bluff.
As I picked up my matches and was closing the door,
I had one of those flashes I'd been there before, been there before.

Well, I ain't always right but I've never been wrong.
Seldom turns out the way it does in a song.
Once in a while you get shown the light
In the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Well there ain't nothing wrong with the way she moves,
Scarlet begonias or a touch of the blues.
And there's nothing wrong with the look that's in her eyes,

Wind in the willow's playin' "Tea for Two";
The sky was yellow and the sun was blue,
Strangers stoppin' strangers just to shake their hand,
Everybody's playing in the heart of gold band, heart of gold band. "

We are all playing in the " heart of gold band"........
