On Tuesday, Jerusalem-based Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) displayed 2000 posters in three German cities (Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne), offering a reward of upto 25,000 euros ($33,000) for information leading to arrest and conviction of a former Nazi labor camp officials. The poster features a black-and-white photo of the Auschwitz-Birkenau and the tageline: “Late but not too late”. This is part of SWC’s “Operation Last Chance”, latest Israeli PR to keep the Zionist narrative of Holocaust alive.
“We expect to get tips about people who served in the death camps or in Einsatzgruppen (mobile death squads) and in that way to help to bring them to justice,” Efraim Zuroff, director of Israeli branch of SWC told Reuters.
Zuhoff also said that the SWC had been encouraged by the arrest in Germany in May of Hans Lipschis, a 93-year-old suspected former Auschwitz guard.
The Los Angelese-based organization is named after the renowned Nazi-hunter, Simon Weisenthal. The news involved a study conducted by journalist Jean-Paul Mulders and customs official Marc Vermereen, who claimed that DNA samples taken from 39 of Hitler’s relatives – revealed genetic material peculiar to Ashkenazi Jews, Sephardic Jews, and African Berbers. The publisher, Roularta Group, removed the article after Belgian Jewish lobby called the article antisemitic.
