Today, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenie addressed the leaders and Presidents from over 100 nations assembled at the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Tehran. In his speech Ayatullah Khameini reminded his audience that “Islam teaches us that inspite of their racial, linguist and cultural differences, human beings share the same nature, which calls them to purity, justice, benevolence, compasion and cooperation. It’s this universal human nature which – if it can safely steer away from misleading motives – guides human beings monotheism and understanding of Allah’s trancendent essence“. The Leader also stressed the importance of the NAM as a counter-balance power to world’s new US-led colonialism supported by Israel, Britain, France, Turkey and some Arab regimes (mainly Saudi Arabia and Qatar). He said that international forums like the United Nations, Arab League and African League have become tools in the hands of the western imperialist powers. The leader also urged the assembled world leaders to work for a nuclear free world to save the humanity at large. He also repeated his earlier claim that Islamic Republic consider the use of nuclear, chemical and similar weapons as a great and unforgivable sin. The attendance of some leaders and Presidents from several Zionist-controlled US, Israel, EU, UN and NATO allied regimes, was – a slap on Washington’s face. These included Egyptian president Dr. Mohamed Morsi, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Saudi Arabia’s deputy foreign minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah al Saud, Emir of Qatar, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelillah Benkirane, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Philippines Vice President Jejomar Binay. Delegates from both China and Russia, also attending the summit as ‘observers’.
“There were attempts by the neo-conservative oligarchy in Washington, represented notably by Robert Kagan (Zionist Jew) of the elitist Brookings Institution and his State Department spokesperson wife Victoria Nuland (Zionist Jew), to convince Ban, Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi, and other recipients of U.S. aid to boycott Tehran,” wrote investigative journalist Wayne Madsen on August 30, 2012.
Ayatullah Khamenei’s message of unity among the world’s oppressed nations – did not make sense to West’s so-called “anti-Israel Islamist leader”, Egyptian president Morsi, who, as I had suspected went to NAM summit to sabotage it on behalf of the US and Saudi Arabia. He was the only among the world leaders attending Tehran summit, who called Syrian regime “oppressive” in his speech. As a result, the Syrian delegate walked out of the summit in protest. Morsi expects Syrian Muslim Brotherhood to take power after Bashar al-Assad’s departure from power. Syrian MB supports armed insurgency in the country. One of its leader had attended the ‘Israeli Conference on Syria‘ in France in July 2011. The Syrian MB leadership has pledged that once in power, it will steer Syria away from Iran, Hizbullah and Hamas.
